Ooooo lovely wheat free cup cakes specially made for me...

Good morning lovely people, I just wanted to share with you a wonderfully kind and warm gesture one of my felt-making ladies made on Saturday.

Pictured above is the best tasting wheat free cup cake I have ever tasted, Mary whom has been on two of my courses and is planning a third,  like me wheat intolerant and very often has to do with out as I do when others are tucking into their tasty treats.

With a determination not to miss out Mary decided that she would bake her own and very kindly brought 2 into the boutique for me to try... I have to say I was sooooo excited and overwhelmed that I had to eat one of them there and then.

They certainly did not disappoint on taste texture and overall gastronomic experience.  Thank you Mary

More glorious bag making in the boutique...

Kathy's Bag
Well good morning everyone, apologies for not blogging for a couple of days... its been rather busy at the boutique.

Pictured above is Kathy with her completed bag, Kathy had never done any felt-making before coming on the  bag making course and has produced a fantastic bag to be proud of and that she can use.  Thank you Kathy for your company, it was a great fun day.

Kathy is not the only newbie felt-maker to have chosen this bag shape to make... it is one of my newly designed shapes and has been very popular with the lovely ladies that have been on the course.

The bag making courses have been incredibly popular and I am selling out of weekend places.

To book your place on Tigerlily Makes course please contact Lisa on 0845 543 9046 or email: info@tigerlilymakes.co.uk

Plum Plumptious Felt Jewellery Range is in demand!!!

Hi everyone, I thought I would share the success of one of my new ranges... the Plum Plumptious Range of rings, pendants, brooches, bangles and  corsages.  Each time I make a piece of felt jewellery before the week is out it has been snapped up by a lovely new owner.

This brooch wasn't even a brooch to begin with... it started out as a flower I was going to attach to one of my other items, however the new owner was so keen to have it that she waited whilst I customized it for her to take away.

This is part of my Plum Plumptious range and has been very well received.

Well back to it as I have boring paperwork to sort out this afternoon.

Kindest

Lisa

Slipper course was a hoot!!

Liz & Emma making felt slippers

Christine & Rachelle making felt slippers

Good morning everyone, well its another bright and sunny morning following another fabulous felt-making day in  boutique.

Yesterday was the felt slipper course and my special thanks go out to, Christine, Rachelle, Emma and Elizabeth for making the day so enjoyable. We drank lots of lovely teas, ate lots of lovely cakes and laughed so much, that I think people may have thought we were on the happy pills!

Three of the lovely ladies had never felted before, whilst Elizabeth had done some flat felting some years ago but had not done anything 3 dimensional.  All four ladies produced outstanding results. I will be bringing more pics of their fab makes at a later stage.

This weeks classes include Thursdays Bag/Tea Cosy/Hot Water Bottle and Saturdays Class is making a 3D Vessel/Bowl

There are still places left on these classes so to book please call 0845 543 9046 or email: info@tigerlilymakes.co.uk

Stunning Heart Necklace by Karen Martin Designs

Morning everyone, well lots going on in the boutique at the moment, so whilst I am in preparation mode I thought I would share a fabulous new find.

Introducing Karen Martin Designs or KMD as she is also known, Karen is a very talented jewellery maker/designer and I was fortunate enough to meet her in person and see her designs up close.  I have to say they are every bit as fabulous in the flesh as they are in the photos.

Karen has a great eye for colour and an ability to create elegant and understated ranges that have a unique designer edge.

Thank you Karen for taking the time to come and share these with me.

Well good morning everyone and what a wonderfully sunny and bright morning it is.  This weekend was another busy one for me... another amazing and felttastic bag/tea cosy making course.

I also had a lot of lovely customers call into the boutique one of whom bought my Lemon Sherbert Felted Bowl.  This was one of my favorites so was thrilled that someone admired it enough to give it a new home.

Another felttastic bag/tea cosy making day in the felt boutique... oh and lots of lovely cakes

Adele's fabulous tea cosy

Pat's felttastic bag
Morning everyone, wow what a wonderful day we all had yesterday at the felt boutique... my very special thanks go out to Sue, Pat, Adele and Liz whom made the day truly special.  We didn't stop laughing all day long.  We chatted and ate scrumptious cakes provided by Cupcakes & Peonies which I have to say haven't been rivaled by any other.

I will be featuring more makes from the day in a later post but for now pictured top to bottom: Adele's superb tea cosy and Pat's felttastic bag.  None of the ladies on yesterday's course had ever felted before and some had not done anything crafty before either.   However all of the ladies on yesterday's course produced excellent results with finished items that they can now be proud to use.

So if you fancy having a go at your own unique creation don't hesitate to contact me: info@tigerlilymakes.co.uk absolutely no experience is necessary and you don't need to be artistic to be able to produce truly fantastic results.

So come on in and enjoy the magic that Tigerlily Makes.

Whats new in The Felt-making Boutique... Dolly Daisy Felt Slipper Course

Hi everyone, I just thought I would introduce my brand new addition to the wonderful world of felt.  I am pleased to introduce Dolly Daisy Felt Slippers, these are an example of what you can make on a Tigerlily Makes slipper course.

They are a brand new design, which will be available to make on upcoming courses, for pre-order and       re-sales and will now be my first felt-making kit, for felt-makers to make at home.

I have named them so as my inspiration came from my favorite shoe shape the Dolly Shoe, I took advice from the company who helps me with my design copyrights and copyrighted the name, the slippers, the kit and the course.

Hope you Like if you would like to reserve your place on either of the following course dates please email me: info@tigerlilymakes.co.uk

Boutique finally gets its sign and Easter Bank Holiday Monday Charity Event

Good morning everyone, finally I can share my newly installed Boutique sign... it has been a long road getting this sign due to issues over the art work.  The original artwork was supplied in PSD format which meant when you viewed it at 100% is was blurred, with some welcome advice from Vesey Arts & Crafts and Printing Services we learned that when printing signs with such illustrative artwork we needed a vector image.  So Vesey came to my rescue once again and here we are the finished sign... I am absolutely thrilled.  Sign was supplied by Sign Specialists

Finally just a reminder about Easter Monday's Charity Fundraising & official Launch Event.  There will be lots to see and do both in the Boutique and at the Heart of The Country Village not to mention raising some much needed support for Have a Heart and African Joy 2 of our local charities.

Hope to see you there :)

Specially Commissioned Mosaic Splash-back by Wigwam Arts for Tigerlily Makes Boutique

Hi everyone, well this morning i just want to shout from the roof tops and share with you all how thrilled I am with my recent installation.

Pictured above is the most amazing mosaic splash-back, specially commissioned for the Tigerlily Makes Boutique by WIGWAM ARTS

Wigwam Arts was formed by two extremely talented mosaic artist's Joanne and Amanda, whom specialize in mosaic art, the two run workshops, make mosaic items to sell and have been commissioned by many to install one of their great works at various centers and locations.  They work with children and adults of all ages and all ability's to enable and empower people to create their own mosaic masterpieces and feel a sense of achievement through art.

Jo and Amanda met me on site at the boutique to get a feel for the style of the location, then talked through my requirements to get a feel for my own expectations and then went to the drawing board to put the design into action.  They even managed to include some pieces of my favorite china in the design which I thought was quite simply genius.

You can come and see the work for yourself and even purchase one of their much coveted mosaic birds.

For more information about this dynamic pair just click on the WIGWAM ARTS link above.
