Latest Featured Artist at the Flutterby Art Boutique... Titch Designs!

Hello lovely makers and creators well today we bring you yet another fabulous artist in residence at the wonderful Flutterby Art Boutique at Curborough Craft & Antique Centre. Flutterby Art Boutique is run by the wonderfully talented and visionary Kate Williams, who has an eye for spotting excellent design within are local design community.  Today we feature one of the Artists in residence at the Boutique the wonderful Titch Designs. You can keep up to date with all the artists at the boutique including Titch Designs on the Flutterby Art Boutique Facebook Page

Titch Design was set up in 2012 after designer Rachel Wiseman (aka Titch) graduated from university with a first class BA Hons degree in Graphic Design. The lack of job opportunities made her decide to create her own job! She took a chance and decided to embark on an adventure…Titch set up her own company and is now doing what she enjoys best creating, producing and selling her own designs.

Titch Design produces unique hand designed products, mainly paper related; including greeting cards, gift wrap, notepads, framed prints, memo blocks, small gifts including pocket mirrors and badges to name just a few of her items. Titch is inspired by a huge variety of things and when inspiration strikes she just goes with it! One thing that is very clear in her designs is that she absolutely loves colour! Titch is continuously working on new designs, products and ideas…there is always a long list on the go of what to do next. Titch Design strives to be and is extremely proud to be 100% British designed and made!

Titch Design was thrilled to be selected to have space to showcase her work in the Flutterby ArtBoutique, Curborough Craft Centre. A brilliant opportunity to sell her products along side many other talented designer makers in a fabulous little boutique.

Titch Design products are available to buy in the Flutterby Art Boutique; you can also shop online in the Titch Design Etsy store www.etsy.com/shop/TitchDesign, and keep up to date with all the latest Titch Design news and goings on by visiting her Facebook page www.facebook.com/TitchDesign.

Introducing Kharis from Handcraftily...

Handcraftily (aka Kharis Harvey) is a crafty creator based in a sleepy village in Staffordshire. She spends most of her time recycling and upcycling old jewellery, creating beads from paper and fabric, making gifts for people, and dreaming of a house by the sea! Formerly a college and university lecturer and holistic and talking therapy student, Kharis has always enjoyed making things and believes that everyone should be more creative in their daily lives and that handmade products should be encouraged and promoted by such businesses as the Flutterby Art Boutique!

Kharis’s main passion is Jewellery, although she also loves working with fabrics and clay and has recently been bitten by the steampunk bug! Handcraftily is constantly working on new jewellery designs and can normally be found making a creative mess somewhere!!
with a selection of her work.

Her work is available available to purchase in store at Flutterby Art Boutique and I would highly recommend a visit to truly appreciate the beauty of Kharis's wonderful work.

You can also shop online in her Etsy shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/Handcraftily), but for the very latest news from handcraftily please visit her on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Handcraftily

Todays Featured Artist at the Flutterby Art Boutique

Hello lovely makers and creators we we have another treat for you today as we feature another talented artist at the fabulous Flutterby Art Boutique run by Kate Williams bringing local talent together.

Today we feature Pat Wilkes and this is what Pat has to say about her creative journey...

"I have been crafting from a very early age, my mom taught me how to knit and crochet and I love anything creative. Over the years I have made jewellery, cards, scrapbooks and also textile projects. I still make cards and jewellery but tend to have settled on the keepsake and gift market.

My passion at the moment is vintage linens and vintage wooden items which can be up cycled and made into something unique and beautiful, giving them a new life in this modern world. I think I am at my happiest when I am creating a new piece, but I can be my own worst critic like most creative people.

I am so happy to now have some of my stock at the Flutterby Art Boutique at CurboroughCraft Centre something I never thought would ever happen, a complete dream come true."

Featured Artist at the Flutterby Art Boutique

You can keep up to date on the official Flutterby Boutique fan page and today I thought we would showcase just one of many designers in the boutique.

Introducing the very talented Jenny Rose Mann, Jenny's interest in textiles began in childhood, and has continued into adult life. Jenny currently creates textile panels fusing together felt, fabric and thread together with hand and machine stitching/embroidery. Recent work is based on the design of single stem flowers that stand proud in a flower bed. Jenny often starts with only a visual representation in her head thus allowing the medium to shape the piece. As a result of this and the techniques used, no two pieces can be the same.  Jenny enjoys the journey that is being taking when creating a piece and over time this takes her into new directions being supported by experimentation and new techniques.

And here's just a little taster of the work that is available to purchase at the boutique.
