Morning everyone... so heres the first of the "Tea Time range and my first prototype... I have been working on a new range of tea cosy's amongst other things to try and improve on my painting with fibre skills!!
This was my first attempt at this kind of style and looking at it now, it could do with some improvement. I am drawing a range of pictures which I aim to use as designs on my felted items so I have decided to practice a little more before releasing any for sale to the public. On reflection I feel that the tea cup is not sculpted enough and not centered enough, but thats the great thing about fibre its trial and error.
Well back to it more preparation for my opening.

Update on progress.......
Hi everyone,
I just thought I would share how progress is going for the launch of the new felt-making boutique. I have been over at the boutique most of this last week and have begun phase one, which is the re-decoration phase. This week with a little help from my friends I have finished the painting of all the half height wood panelling, which has been painted in a colour called white chocolate. I have chosen a very pale subtle duck egg blue for the window ledge, window and door.
All is looking really fresh and fab... though I have a long way to go yet, as I need to paper feature walls, polish floors and move furniture in.
I am popping over again tmrw briefly to take some photos of progress so far, though it is filled with paint tins, brushes and rollers and present, but it should give you a feel for the place.
I will be firming up some course dates very soon and will be posting these on the blog... so be sure to stay tuned for news and events.

Purple Passion Felted Bowl Makes its Debut

Hi Everyone, well the first on my new range of felted bowls is finally here and is now launched in my Folksy store.
Purple Passion The Felted Bowl, was certainly born out of my ever growing passion for working with felt.
I love the fact that you can create so many wonderful objects simply by shaping and moulding the fibres with your hands.
The ancient technique is not to be forgotten in our war against climate change, as its kind to the environment. The wool fibres come from the sheep's fleece, which grows back and therefore is a sustainable source. All of my wool fibres come from ethical suppliers whom care about the sheep's welfare.
Stay tuned over the next few days for the release of two more felted bowl's.

Saturdays Christmas Arts Markets

Pictured above are a few pics from my stall, I did really well and was amazed at how much I sold, people bought my cards, Christmas decorations, decorated boxes, boxed notelets and my first felted Tea-Cosy!!!:) I have sold felted items before on my online store and by order but not at a market so I was thrilled.
I have designed some new felty bowls with some sumptously sweet names and will be showcasing those very soon.
